Hoofed limbs trott systematically to the music of a brass band. The floor wears where the hooves tread, leaving a residue of bark and dust. Meditations on labour and toil are perfomed in a collective militant march.

Chronic performs an endless choreography of exhaustion, a cycle of strain and release, composure, regimented uniformity and collapse. A constructed forest of fragmented trunks salvaged from fallen trees draw on labour, toil, and attendant social expectations surrounding productivity and efficiency.
"The tree trunks almost seem to linger in their collapsed state, as if to consider the possibility of simply refusing to continue. The discomfort prompted by this prolonged meditation can be revelatory, catalyzing ideas of alternative conceptions of success and the generative potential of failure..." - Naomi Potter

at the Gladstone Hotel, in conjunction with Toronto's Annual Alternative Design Event.
In a recreated hotel room, a couple listens to the intimate sounds of their neighbours. A beam of light shines across the wall as a car passes; the sounds of flushing toilets, sirens, and barking dogs add a dull pathos to the romance.
